East High School and the PTSA welcome all fitness enthusiasts to participate in the 6th annual Running of the Leopards 5K on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. The course is designed for speed and will appeal to all levels of runners and walkers. Many runners have set their personal best time on this fast downhill course! Over the past few years the students, faculty, staff and community of East High School have focused on becoming more physically fit. It all started when our new principal pledged to lose 100 pounds by graduation in 2008 (he did it!) and has continued with pedometers, fun runs, and our inaugural Running of the Leopards 5K in 2009. Last year's race attracted over 800 registrants - elite runners, students, families, and the community. We invite all to participate in this year's community event. Set your alarm early on March 22rd. Race time is 8:30 a.m. Lace up your shoes and Run With the Leopards!!!
